With the theme of 2010 being "hope and change", there are definite changes in fashion's colors. The basic colors are back. Splurging on a new wardrobe is out. But with the addition of just one piece in the new, hot colors, an older outfit will look fresh. The colors of 2010 are different because they are clear representations of their pigment, without the addition of muddiness. These clear, jewel-like tones have not been seen for many years.

While suiting and formal-wear trends for men aren't seasonal and play out over several years, 2010 shall mark a distinct change in the direction of men's suiting. It comes down to a combination of factors but the likes of the economic downturn, the end of the 'manorexic' era, and women's 1920's and 1930's revivals will all play a big part. But make no mistake: it's the first and last that will be the biggest influence, as well-groomed men look for investment fashion pieces and turn to the classics for inspiration.

You may already have a military line jacket from last winter, if so, with a bit of tweaking it could be swiftly updated. You could change the buttons or add a bit of military ribbon braid.
